Editor’s Note: At RSG, we take pride in our care for people. This includes the people who choose to be our clients, the people who live in our client communities, and the people who work for us. Though it is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to our indefatigable Research Assistant, Nicole Miller, we wish her the best in her continuing professional journey. We asked her to reflect on her experience at RSG. Here’s what she had to say.
A couple of weeks ago, I announced my departure from RSG, as I accepted a job in the City Manager’s Office at the City of Lake Forest. Though I am excited about my future with this RSG client, the move is bittersweet. My experience at this amazing firm afforded me with certain knowledge that I am both thankful for and lucky to take with me to my new place of employment.
At RSG, I was able to build a unique skill set that is adaptable to various work environments. Prior to my employment here, I possessed basic knowledge of data collection, analysis, and reporting. I was able to enhance and tailor these skills through work on different projects, from compliance monitoring to fiscal consultant reporting. I also learned quite a bit about myself and how I work the best. I attribute this to RSG’s team-oriented work atmosphere.
I owe a lot to RSG for affording me the tools necessary to work in today’s public sector. For this, I am eternally grateful.
